SOJOURNS
My passion as a documentary photojournalist stems from
the thrill of capturing an unexpected moment on film. Whether traveling
to Cairo for an in-flight magazine, traversing rural India for
Plan International’s health programs or seeking out Jewish communities
in Morocco, Cuba, Ireland, Poland and more, I cherish the moments not
predicted on my itinerary.
In these faraway places, unlike most major cities in the United States,
I feel safe and comfortable walking around at all hours of day and night.
In Cairo I can easily spend hours frequenting the coffee shops of the old
city; in Morocco the myriad of shops enveloping the ancient medinas offer
delight for all the senses; in Sefat young Ethiopian immigrants invite
me along as they meander for hours through centuries-old biblical streets.
The images in this series are a glimpse of the beauty I have discovered
on my sojourns.
Come join me….
